She Code Camp: The Next Wonder Women

Over a two-week period, middle and high school students met for an hour a day to learn the basics of website design and video game development. The camp was full of firsts for the students — first time building a web page, first time working with any kind of code, first time planning a coding project instead of following along with an activity sheet — and for the instructors (teaching via Zoom continues be an adventure). But none of that mattered. Through trial and error (and a lot of patience from everyone), everyone had fun, made new friends, grew in confidence, and designed and coded their website and video game.
